He is indeed risen as the first fruit of the resurrection! Come join us at the San Gabriel Park in Georgetown, TX at the Springs Pavilion. We are gathering in celebration of our Messiah's resurrection!
Join us on the 50th day of the Feast of Weeks in the beautful San Gabriel park at the Springs Pavilion to welcome the Holy Spirit, as our Messiah Yeshua promised. Bring a dish, snack or dessert to share and don't forget your favorite lawn chair.
Rosh Chodesh/ New Month of Nisan begins the Biblical New Year, Pesach/Passover is the kickoff holiday for the spring festival holidays and concludes with Shavuot/Pentecost. It is the festival season that Messiah fulfilled in his first coming. Yet, as we study, this celebration provides us hints and hope for his second coming so you don't want to miss out on any of these events.
We are to hold a passover at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month (Nisan), Lev 23:5. So we will be gathering for our special seder service and welcome everyone. Scroll above to see our Pesach gathering event.
On the fifteenth day of the month of Nisan begins the Feast of Unleavened Bread. For seven days we are to present a food offering and eat bread made without yeast, ie matzah. Eat lotza matza! The first and the last days are a Sabbath where we do no regular work, Lev 23:6-8.
This is the day a sheaf of the first grain of the harvest we wave as an offering before the LORD. This day occurs the day after the Sabbath of the pesach/passover, Lev 23:9-14. It is the day we believe Messiah's tomb was found empty making Him the First Fruit of the Resurrection.
From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, count off seven full weeks. Count off fifty days up to the day after the seventh Sabbath, Lev 23:15-16.
An Omer is the measure of the grain offering that is waved on the day of First Fruits. To help us count the fifty days, we use the Omer counting that many of our Jewish brothers and sisters use. Join us here each day as we count the days to Shavuot.
We have arrived at the 50th day! The day Israel was given the Torah and then the day the Holy Spirit descended upon the believers as promised by Messiah Yeshua. This is a Sabbath day where we do no regular work, Lev 23:21.
